The straps are adjustable and very comfortable in the same padded pleather. Lightweight.

Also looks... some are cooler looking, but that's just my opinion...even though I'm right... This will do well for you as others will do too... This is a good, basic backpack. It doesn't have a lot of bells and whistles, but it's a solid choice. The sizing is average, it will hold several books and notebooks. The padding felt adequate for most items, but I'm not sure how much I would trust it with an expensive Mac book. The straps were easy to adjust and padded enough. I appreciate that it could be folded up and put into another bag if you needed an extra bag while traveling - it would make a good day pack. Overall a good deal for what it is.
